Nonprofit environmental organization seeks a GIS Specialist. The GIS Specialist serves as the technical liaison for RTC’s SDE trails Geodatabase (Oracle platform); is responsible for populating and managing RTC’s Geodatabase; oversees the interface between these two databases; develops training programs for staff to use the Geodatabase and ArcGIS applications, and provides cartographic and report services and technical support for various projects.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Geography, Urban Planning, Engineering or Computer Science and 2 years work experience with direct experience using GIS. Knowledge of geo-spatial analysis, report generation and creation of custom SQL queries. Experience with ESRI’s ArcGIS product family including Arc Editor, ArcView and ArcSDE. Familiarity with GPS data collection and processing and web based mapping API’s highly desirable.
