Technical Assistant, GIS Related Position

Strand Energy is a small oil & gas production company located in downtown Houston. Our focus is on exploration and production. We currently have an opening for a Technical Assistant (Geotech). This position will provide support for our team of geologists and petroleum engineers.

Job duties will consist of building maps using GIS software (ArcGIS), preparing technical exhibits utilizing Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel, and researching historical data. The candidate should have good communication skills, work habits, problem solving abilities and organizational skills.

Compensation consists of base salary, benefits, and profit sharing.

Bachelors degree in related field preferred.
Experience with ArcGIS, Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel required.
